LISH Truck Driver
Improvement Program
The purpose is to help firms meet the annual requirement (bi-annual
for drivers with the same firm for over 5 years) for drivers of
vehicles rated over 10,000 GVW. The requirement includes classroom
instruction, awards contest, driver file update, and at least
one written test. LISH provides a different program each year
on all major islands where firms with only a few drivers can participate
in multi-employer group classes, or firms can have our instructor
conduct the class at your location. The ultimate goal is to provide
the best and complete program possible in the best format for
the least amount of time and the least possible cost. LISH has
been conducting Driver Improvement Classes for over 20 years.
Forklift Certification Classes
With OSHA Regulatons now requiring all forklift (defined as industrial
lifts) drivers to be certified. LISH has a program that meets
the legal requirements with a wallet certificate that is good
for 3 years. We have a professional instructor that can conduct
the classroom portion at our place or yours, with the practical
portion at your location.
First Aid Classes
OSHA Regulations require at least one individual with a first
aid certificate (with few exceptions) be on the premises of each
firm. LISH provides the classes at our location on an as needed
basis. The First Aid Certificate is good for 3 years.
LISH Medical Plans
LISH offers Medical Coverage Programs with variety. Employees
can choose between either HMSA or Kaiser types of coverages. Employers
can offer the basic plans at the least possible cost, with employees
choose the additional option of drugs/dental/vision coverage.
This helps minimize the employer's cost, while offering a variety,
all through LISH. There is a waiting period for new firms. LISH
also offers medical programs to cover independent contractors,
and individuals not covered by the Hawaii Prepaid Healthcare Law.
